Safeguarding
Safeguarding at Oak Tree Primary School & Nursery
We all have a statutory duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
The Designated Safeguarding Leads in this setting are:
- Designated Strategic Safeguarding Lead - Mrs M Gash
- Designated Operational Safeguarding Lead - Mrs L Dean
- Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads - Mrs E Tuxford-Flory, Miss A Glover and Mrs S Woolley
The DSLs take lead responsibility for safeguarding and children protection (this includes online safety) and are available to provide advice and support to other staff on child welfare and child protection matters. DSLs take part in strategy discussions, interagency meetings, Core Groups and Child Protection Conferences and contribute to the assessment of children by providing reports, making referrals and attending meetings.
If you have any concerns about a child please do not hesitate to talk to a member of staff.
