Class 6

Welcome to Class 6!

(2020-2021)

Contact Mrs Collins on the form below if you need

further information or have a question.

Class 6

We are delighted to see Class 6 safely back at Oak Tree. They have had a super start to returning to school and have had lots to tell us their new teacher Mrs Collins and Mrs Jevons.

This page will be the place for parents/carers to come for any information you need about what is happening in our class.

Homework will be posted here when it is given out so please do check if your child says they don’t have any.

Reading should be a top priority for pupils and they need to do this every week. Spellings and times table homework will follow once the children have adjusted to being back.
PE will begin from next week on Tuesday and Thursday. For this children need to WEAR THEIR PE KIT to school on Tuesday and Thursday. We will no longer be changing the children in class so they need appropriate PE kit (in line with school uniform policy) and a jumper to keep them warm at playtime.

Lunchtime in Class 6 is now 12.00 pm so please send your child with a water bottle and a healthy snack for playtime so they don’t get hungry!

That is all for now but please don’t hesitate to contact us via the school office or the rainbow contact form below.

Already Summer Term is upon us and we have so much exciting learning to pack into this term. For more information have a read of our newsletter.

Homework Time! Spring spellings lists.

On Friday the 9th November the whole school took part in an art day as part of Remembrance Day. They looked at many different ways in which to create pictures that included Poppies. Class 6 had a great day experiencing many different art forms.

Poppy Art Day

Class 6 had a workshop from the Palace Theatre all about Remembrance Day. We learnt drills soldiers would have done in WW1, we re-enacted scenes from the poem Flanders Field and we also learnt the song “It’s a long way to Tipperary”.
